A 14-year-old school pupil, Sinazo Kleinbooi was brutally murdered in Kwamanube Street in NU6, Motherwell, South Africa last Tuesday. The body of the girl still dressed in school uniform was found lying in the street with a single bullet wound to her head.  According to reports, two thugs came up behind the girl and calmly shot her in the back of the head as she walked home from school. The only thing taken was her new smartphone. The shooting happened few minutes after Sinazo had been dropped off by a taxi after school and was walking the rest of the way home. Sinazo, who would have turned 15 on Friday August 9, attended the HH Academy in Sydenham. While the details are still sketchy, police have not ruled out a targeted hit.   The corpse of a 109 years old woman buried in Jos, Plateau state, was exhumed after she was discovered to have been buried by the wrong family.     Mrs. Naomi Bot, died on 26th July, 2019, and was slated for burial on Monday, August 5, at Assemblies of God Church, Danye Turu village in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.   However, she was buried on Saturday, August 3, 2019 in place of Mrs. Kumbo Pam Badung, 103.     Mrs. Badung died on 24th July, 2019 and was to be buried near COCIN LCC Rawuk, Vwang also in Jos South LGA. A video recently surfaced showing the moment Nigerian singer,  Wizkid’s bodyguard  punched a man for touching the singer’s head after his performance, on Saturday in Abuja. Wizkid,  who charges 100 million per show , bagged an endorsement deal with one of Africa’s leading banks, UBA. The singer also  took a swipe at his controversial colleague, Naira Marley  for publicly promoting cyber crime popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo along with Zlatan Ibile. After his performance, the singer was seen approaching his car but was crowded with fans who wanted to get a feel of the singer. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo this evening paid a condolence visit to the family of slain youth corps member, Precious Owolabi, at his family house in Zaria, Kaduna state. 21 year old Precious who was observing his mandatory one year service at Channels Television, Abuja bureau, was killed in the bloody clash between men of the Nigeria Police Force and protesting Shi'ites members in Abuja on Monday July 2nd. Osinbajo was accompanied in the visit by the governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai. Osinbajo who shared a video from his visit on his Twitter handle, wrote “Nothing will ever compare with the pain of losing a child. his evening, I visited the family of Precious Owolabi and as a nation, we grieve the loss of this bright young man. May the Almighty God comfort the family and loved ones”.

An air strike has killed five doctors in a hospital in the southern outskirts of Libya's capital Tripoli. According to an official from the UN-backed government, a warplane belonging to Khalifa Hafta, the rogue general who commands the Libyan National Army, carried out the attack, the health ministry spokesman added. Libya has been roiled in conflict since the fall of long-time leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.  Fighting between the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) led by Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, and Mr Haftar's LNA, has claimed 1,100 lives since April, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).   The fighting has remained deadlocked on the outskirts of the capital, with both sides resorting to air strikes. Saturday's bombing also wounded seven people, including some rescuers. It was a direct hit against the field hospital which was packed with medical teams' Lamine al-Hashem, the spokesman from the health ministry, said.

Gunmen Gunmen, early Sunday morning, killed a businessman in Gulma town of Kebbi, Alhaji Yusuf Garkar-Bore, and abducted his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Aisha Yusuf. A member of the family who did not want his name mentioned for security reasons, told newsmen that the gunmen invaded the community at about 2 am, and attacked the home of 65 year-old Garkar-Bore, shooting him in the chest and abducting his son’s wife. “Alhaji was shot severally in the chest; we took him to Argungu General Hospital for treatment but he was confirmed dead; he has been buried according to Islamic rites today,” he said.
